Fashion Street Beauty Saloon & Academy

I started this place a while back in Shravan Apartment. We are right on the ground floor at shop number five, so you don't have to climb any stairs to get inside. Most people in the area know us because we are near the SOS school and the big mall. It is a busy spot in Rajkot, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants their hair done. We also have the academy side of things going on. That is where we show students how to do the work. It is usually a mix of local girls and some coming from further out. Ghanshyam Nagar Main Road stays pretty crowded, so there is always something going on outside the shop window. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Behind Jyotinagar it is mostly residential, so we get a lot of ladies walking over from their houses. It is not a big fancy corporate setup, just a local shop where we keep things simple. We have a few chairs for the salon part and a small space in the back for the classes. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when all the hair dryers are going at once. We do not really do big advertisements. Most people just see the sign when they are heading to Crystal Mall. We try to keep the place tidy and ready for whoever walks in. It is a lot of work running both the salon and the teaching part, but it keeps us busy.
