Fashion Beauty Parlour

Fashion Beauty Parlour is over on Raiyaroad in Rajkot. It’s a pretty straightforward place to find once you are on that side of town. The shop is simple and we’ve been here for a bit, just doing what we do. The street outside can get very crowded with bikes and people, especially during the festival times when everyone is out and about. We have a couple of chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable enough to sit in. The floor is tiled and we try to mop it every morning before the first person arrives. There is a small window that lets in some sunlight, but we usually keep the curtains half-drawn so it doesn't get too hot inside. We don’t have a huge team or anything, just enough hands to keep things moving along. It’s a lot of work keeping up with everything, from washing the towels to making sure the brushes are clean. We talk to the neighbors a lot because everyone knows everyone on Raiyaroad. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a few minutes and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It’s a very basic life here at the shop. We don't have fancy decorations or big signs, just the name on the door and our regular tools ready to go for whoever walks in.
