We are located right inside the Ramesh Cotton Mill Compaund over in V.C.Para. It is a busy place with a lot of history in these old walls. My father started this because he liked working with his hands and wood was always his favorite thing to touch. You can smell the cedar and teak as soon as you walk through the gate. Most days, we are covered in sawdust from head to toe. It gets into your clothes and stays there. We have a few old lathes that make a lot of noise, but they still work better than the new ones sometimes. People come to us when they need something solid. Not that fancy plastic stuff you see in the big malls nowadays. We spend a lot of time just picking out the right pieces of timber from the stack. Sometimes a piece has a knot in it that ruins the whole thing, so we have to start over. It is frustrating but that is just how it goes with natural wood. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just the workshop and a small desk where we keep the ledger. If you come by, you might have to wait a bit while we finish a cut. V.C.Para has changed a lot since we moved in, but the mill compound still feels like the old days. We just keep our heads down and keep the saws running until the sun goes down.
