Dayashankar Dal Mill

You can find us over in Biliya, right by Shyam Ki Sabji Mandi. Being near the vegetable market means it’s always crowded and loud around here, especially in the early mornings. Our mill is located near the Jainam Fab factory. It’s an industrial sort of area. The mill itself is full of machinery that processes pulses all day. There is a constant humming sound and the air feels heavy with the smell of raw dal. We have a small area where we keep the finished sacks ready for people to pick up. It’s a tough environment, hot and noisy, but we are used to it. I usually spend my time checking the machines or talking to the workers. We don't have any air conditioning, just a few big fans that move the dusty air around. Our office is just a tiny corner with a table and a couple of ledgers. We don't bother with computers much. Everything is written down by hand. Sometimes we share a meal together in the back during the break. The market outside is always full of life, with farmers and traders shouting. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s where we belong. We’ve been part of this Biliya community for a while now. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill, just a reliable one where people can get their work done. It’s honest labor and it keeps us going from Monday to Saturday without any big complaints.
