We’ve been based at Gidc Metoda on Kalavad Road for quite a while now. It gets really busy here at the factory, especially during the middle of the week when we're trying to get a big batch of kitchen stuff out the door. Most of what we do involves making those glass and metal pots you see people using for dinner. It isn't always pretty work, to be honest. There's a lot of heat and noise from the machines. We started out small, just a few of us trying to figure out how to make things that wouldn't break the first time someone put them on a stove. Nowadays, the place is bigger, but it still feels like the same old shop we started with. We spend most of our mornings checking the machines and making sure the packing is done right. Some days go a lot smoother than others. Sometimes a machine breaks down or the shipments get delayed because of the rain, but we just deal with it as it comes. People around here know us for the cook-n-serve sets. We don't spend much time sitting in fancy offices. Most of our day is spent out on the floor or near the loading dock at 2601. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the orders. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the boxes are taped shut properly before they go out. It's just a regular business making things for regular kitchens. Nothing too fancy.
