Collegian Unisex Salon

You can find us right at Hanuman Madhi Chowk on Raiya Road. It’s a busy corner of Rajkot. Being near Kismat Restaurant means there’s always people walking by. We get a mix of guys and girls coming in since we handle both. The name Collegian came about because we get a lot of students from the nearby areas. They usually want something specific they saw online. We try our best with the shears. The shop isn't massive, but we’ve got enough room for a few people to wait. Sometimes the wait is long on weekends, so people go grab a snack nearby and come back. We have a couple of chairs that have seen better days, but they are comfortable enough. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good when Raiya Road gets dusty. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us working through the day. We start early and stay late if there’s a crowd. It’s a noisy part of town, so you can always hear the rickshaws honking outside. It becomes part of the atmosphere after a while. We just enjoy the work. It’s nice to see someone walk out feeling a bit more confident. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now and the locals seem to like having us here. Just a normal salon for normal people. It is a simple business but it keeps us very busy every single day. We like seeing the street life from our front window.
