You can find us in the Karnavati Complex on the Main Road. This part of Pedak Road is usually very busy, especially near the Pani No Ghodo landmark. Most people in Rajkot know that area well. Our shop is just a simple place where we take care of people's hair. We have our mirrors and the chairs all lined up. It’s not a large space, but it works for what we need. We spend the whole day with the sound of scissors and the smell of various shampoos. People from the surrounding neighborhood come in all the time. Some have been coming for years and we know their stories. We don't go for anything too flashy or modern. The walls have some simple decorations and the lights are bright enough for us to see what we are doing. When the weather is hot, we keep the door open a bit to let the air move, though the dust from Pedak Road comes in too. We keep a pile of newspapers for people to read while they wait their turn. It is just a normal hair shop where we try to do a decent job every day. The traffic outside never seems to stop, but inside we just focus on the person in the chair. It is a steady life here in the complex. We keep the water sprayers filled and the towels clean.
