Being right near the University Gate makes this hospital a busy place most of the time. We focus on kidney health, which means we see a lot of people who are going through some pretty tough times. University Road is always noisy with students and cars, but inside the hospital, things are more focused. We have doctors and nurses who have worked here for years and they know the routine inside out. It’s not a small clinic; it’s a full hospital with beds and machines for dialysis. We spend our days checking on patients and making sure the equipment is running like it should. Families often sit out in the hallways or near the entrance while they wait for news. It’s a serious kind of work, but we try to keep a friendly atmosphere for the people staying with us. The location is good because people coming from outside the city can find the university area quite easily. We get deliveries of medical supplies almost every day and the front desk is usually juggling a lot of phone calls. It’s a lot of responsibility to look after people’s kidneys, so we stay busy from early morning until late at night. There’s always someone on duty. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff that needs to be there for a hospital to work properly.
