Anmol Sarees

Anmol Sarees is located in the Alankar Chamber right at Dhebar Chowk. If you know Rajkot, you know that Dhebar Chowk is a major hub where everything seems to meet. The traffic outside is almost constant, with the sound of horns and engines becoming a regular part of our workday. Our shop is inside the chamber, which provides a bit of a buffer from the chaos of the street. It’s an older commercial building with a lot of different businesses tucked into every corner. We have racks and racks of sarees lining the walls. It’s not a high-end boutique with carpets and soft music. It’s more of a place where you come to see a lot of options and find something that works for you. The fans are always humming to keep the air moving, especially when it gets crowded. We spend a lot of time folding and unfolding fabric, showing the colors and patterns to anyone who drops by. Sometimes the lift in the building is out of order, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It’s just the reality of working in an older part of the city. We’ve built a steady life here, dealing with wholesalers and families who have been coming to this area for years. We aren't flashy. We just show up, open the shop, and do our work until it’s time to go home and do it all again tomorrow.
