Active Hair Care

Our shop is located at Shop Number 14 on the ground floor of Balaji Complex. Our place is right at Mahapujadham Chok on the 150 Feet Ring Road. It’s a very busy intersection near Balaji Hall, so there’s always a lot of noise from the traffic and the people walking by. Active Hair Care is a simple shop. We have three chairs and some big mirrors that show every bit of gray hair. The floor is made of old linoleum and it’s a bit worn out in front of the chairs. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a calendar and a small clock. We spend our days cutting hair and shaving beards for the men in the neighborhood. It’s a straightforward job. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just good scissors and a steady hand. The air gets a bit thick with the smell of aftershave and talcum powder. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on the news. Customers like to watch it while they wait. It’s a small space, so we have to keep it tidy. Rajkot is a fast-growing city, but inside our shop, things move at a slower pace. We know our customers' stories and they know ours. It’s a community thing. We open early to catch people before they go to work and stay until the sun goes down. We just do our best every day.
