Aarya Beauty Parlour

Aarya Beauty Parlour is up on the first floor, in room 101 of the Sadgurudev Commercial Complex. We are on Prahlad Road, right near Karan Para Garbi Chowk. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but it’s not too bad. Being in a commercial complex means we have all sorts of neighbors, from offices to other small shops. Prahlad Plot is a central part of Rajkot, so there's always activity. Inside, the parlor is simple. We have the usual equipment and some benches for people to sit on while they wait. It’s not a luxury spa; it’s just a place where we do beauty work. We keep it clean, though the windows get dusty pretty quickly from the road traffic. We have some plants in the corner, though they probably need more light than they get. The atmosphere is just casual. We talk to the ladies who come in, maybe share some news about the neighborhood. It’s a very straightforward business. We don’t go for those big marketing campaigns. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. We’ve had the same mirrors and the same layout for quite a bit. It’s familiar to us and to the people who visit. Sometimes the tea man comes around, and that's the highlight of the afternoon. It’s just our daily life here on Prahlad Road.
