We set up Aakar Hair Art right by Water Tank Chowk on Pedak Road. If you are looking for us, we are right beside Luxury Ice Cream, which is a popular spot for kids and families. It’s a lively corner of Rajkot. The shop itself is simple and focuses on the work we do. We have a couple of chairs and a big mirror that covers most of one wall. Pedak Road is always busy, so there is a constant sound of scooters and cars outside. Sometimes the smell of ice cream drifts over when the wind is right. We spend our days mostly standing and working with our hands. It’s a basic setup but it works for us and the people who visit. We get a lot of young guys coming in before they head out for the evening. The floor is usually covered in clippings by noon, but we try to keep it tidy. We don't use any big fancy machines, just the tools we've always used. It’s a small team here, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. We know the regulars by name and usually know exactly how they want things done before they even sit down. It's just a regular local shop where we try to keep things moving along steadily every day. It's a bit small, but it's ours.
