Ultratech Cement,Aditya Birla Group

We are living and working over at House D-28/3 in Adityapuram. It’s in the Sawa area of Chittorgarh, which is a place known for its history and its heat. This is where the Ultratech Cement team for the Aditya Birla Group stays. Adityapuram is like its own little town. It was built mainly for the people working at the plant. You see the same neighbors at the grocery store and at the office. It’s a very comfortable and familiar way to live. The house itself is just a standard place where we manage things. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. We have our paperwork spread out on the table and the ceiling fan going all day to keep the Rajasthan heat away. Sawa is a bit dusty because of all the cement work in the region, but that’s just part of the landscape here. You get used to the white dust on your shoes. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just know what needs to be done each morning. Most of us have been in Chittorgarh for years and wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a big city office. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere where people look out for one another. We just keep the wheels turning from our house in the colony and take things as they come. It’s a decent enough way to spend a work day in Rajasthan.
