Sri Vijaya Durga Arts

Our place is called Sri Vijaya Durga Arts and we are situated right on the Main Road in Dowlaiswaram. The door number is 3-204/1. Being on the main road means we see a lot of traffic and people passing by all day long. It’s a very central spot in Dowlaiswaram. We do a lot of traditional work here, mostly arts and signs. You can often see us working with paints and brushes. The shop is open to the street, so it gets a bit dusty and loud with the buses going by, but we don't mind. We have been part of this community for years. Everyone knows the shop with the art pieces outside. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on the fact that we are right there on the main road where everyone can see us. It’s a simple life, opening up early and staying until the sun goes down. The walls of our shop are covered in different designs we’ve made over time. It’s not a polished gallery, just a working artist’s space. We talk to the neighbors and the people who stop their bikes to ask about a project. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just make things with our hands and hope people like them. It is just the way we have always done things.
