Sri Parvathi Devi Earth Movers

We are located over in Municipal Colony and have been doing this for a few years. Sri Parvathi Devi Earth Movers is basically just a few of us who know how to handle the heavy machines. It gets loud when we start the engines in the morning, but the neighbors are mostly used to it by now. We spend most of our time out at construction spots or helping clear out old plots of land. It’s hard work on the back, sitting in those cabs all day, but someone has to do it. The sun gets really strong around mid-day, so we usually take a long break then. We keep a stash of spare parts in the shed because things are always snapping or leaking when you're digging into hard ground. Sometimes the soil is rocky, which makes the work go slower than we’d like. It’s not like those big companies you see on TV with uniforms and everything. We just wear what’s comfortable and get the job done. If a machine breaks, we usually fix it ourselves right there in the dirt. My brother helps out with the scheduling, though we mostly just keep it in a notebook. People in the colony know where to find us if they have a project starting up. It's a simple business, really, and we don't have time for much else besides keeping the loaders moving and the sites cleared for the local builders.
