We are based in Tilda Peelamedu. It’s a busy area with a lot of industrial activity going on. Our place is basically a warehouse and a small front office where we handle the orders. We deal with various types of merchandise and equipment. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of machinery and dust from the nearby roads. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving items around and checking the labels. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of big industrial fans that make a lot of noise. People in Peelamedu are mostly working in similar businesses, so we all know each other. We don't have any polished brochures or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with other businesses in the area. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and take short breaks. The floor is concrete and always has some scuff marks from the crates. It’s a practical workspace, designed for utility rather than looks. We handle everything from small parts to larger units. Every day is a bit different depending on what orders come in. We just focus on keeping the inventory straight and making sure the deliveries go out on time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and we’re happy to be part of the Tilda community. There is always something to load or unload, so the day goes by pretty fast.
