Being based in Raipur, specifically in the Century Colony area, gives us a good look at how much this part of Chhattisgarh is growing. M S Ahc Power Project Ltd has been at this B 11 Vasant Kripa Nagar address for some time. It is a busy office where we spend a lot of time looking at project plans and talking about power logistics. The sun hits the front of the building pretty hard in the afternoons so we usually keep the blinds down. It is not some high-rise corporate tower, just a practical space where we can get our tasks done without too much fuss. We have a few staff members who have been here since the beginning. We drink a lot of water because Raipur gets so hot in the summer months. The desks are covered in blueprints and site reports. Sometimes it feels like we are always chasing deadlines, but that is just how the power sector works. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and someone will probably be there to say hello. The colony is quiet enough most days, which helps when we need to focus on the technical details of a new project. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to get done. It is honest work and we are glad to be part of the local community here. We usually head home once the sun starts going down.
