Law Book Binder

Down here in the Shyam Nagar area, things tend to move at their own slow pace. Our little shop, Law Book Binder, is located specifically at 32 954. It is a place that is always filled with the distinct smell of old glue and fresh paper. We have been working out of Raipur for a long time now. Binding books is essentially what we do every single day. It is very hands-on work and the floor can get pretty messy with all the scraps of paper and thread lying around. We often take in old, worn-out volumes and try our best to put them back together so they can stay in one piece for a few more years. The street outside can get quite dusty, especially during the dry afternoons. We do not have a large neon sign or anything like that, just the usual wooden door that we keep open to let some air circulate through the room. People in this neighborhood know where to find us if they have something that needs a bit of fixing up. It is a very simple operation. We still use some old manual machines that have been with us for decades. They still work perfectly fine even if they clank a little when we use them. Most of our day is spent hunched over the heavy worktables. We do not really do much else besides the actual binding work. Raipur is quite hot in the summer, so we usually take a long break when the sun is at its highest point.
