Gupta Masala

You can find Gupta Masala right on the Main Road in Gudhiyari. We are quite close to the railway station, so the sound of trains is something we hear all day and night. It’s a very busy area with people always rushing to catch their rides. Our shop is a bit small, and it gets crowded with all the sacks of spices we keep in the back. The air always smells like coriander and cumin. We don't use any fancy machines, just some basic grinders that get the job done. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning because the spice dust gets everywhere. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the heat on Main Road is probably the hardest part of the job. We don't have air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that spin as fast as they can. People from the station often stop by to pick up something on their way home. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building is showing its age a bit. There are cracks in the floor and the paint is peeling, but it’s home to us. We don't bother with big ads or anything like that. People know where we are. We just focus on getting the spice mixes right and making sure the bags are sealed properly. It’s a noisy, spicy, and busy life here in Gudhiyari. We've got a small water cooler for the staff because it gets so hot with the grinders going.
