We are located right near the Raipur Ganj railway station, so there is always the sound of trains and people rushing around. It gets pretty loud during the day, but we are used to it by now. Being a data operator in BSNL means handling a lot of paperwork and digital records that come through this branch. Our office is just a simple space where a few of us sit with our monitors. Sometimes the tea seller comes by from the station side and that’s usually the highlight of our morning. We spend most of the day typing in details and making sure the files are updated correctly. It’s not a fancy place at all. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, and the light from the windows is mostly blocked by the nearby buildings. We just get on with the job, looking at spreadsheets and lists for hours. People walk in asking about their connections or bills, and we point them to the right desk while we keep typing. It’s just a regular local spot where the work gets done quietly behind the scenes. We don’t have big meetings or anything, just the usual routine of entering data and checking for mistakes. Life here is mostly about the rhythm of the station and the steady click of the keyboards. It’s a practical setup, nothing more, nothing less, just us working away near the tracks in Raipur Ganj.
