If you go down to Purani Basti in Raipur, you'll find us in the Kayasth Para area. The Dainik Bhaskar Press is right there. It’s an old part of town, so the roads are a bit narrow and it can be hard to find a parking spot if you're driving. We’ve been in this location for a long time, and the building shows its age a little, but it works for what we need. The smell of ink is pretty strong once you step inside. That’s because the presses are usually running or getting ready to run. It’s a noisy environment, especially in the evenings when things really pick up speed. We have a crew of people who have been here for decades. They know the machines better than anyone. Chhattisgarh weather can be tough, especially the humidity, but we just get on with it. We don't have any fancy corporate offices here. It’s a working press, so there are stacks of paper and crates everywhere you look. We drink our tea standing up mostly because there isn't much room to sit down once the shifts start. It’s a busy, messy, and loud place, but it's where the work happens. We’re proud to be part of the Purani Basti community and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. It feels like home to all of us here.
