Our facility for Alaska Supertech Chemicals Pvt Ltd is located on Plot No 17-39 in the Chemical Zone of Taloja MIDC. It is a huge industrial area and we are right near the Pidilite Industry plant, which is a major landmark around here. Working in Taloja means being surrounded by factories and heavy machinery. The air often has that sharp chemical smell that you get in these zones. Our building is a practical structure meant for handling chemicals and industrial processes. It is not pretty to look at, but it does the job we need it to do. We have a small office section where the administrative stuff happens, but most of the action is on the floor. The floors are concrete and there are pipes running everywhere. We deal with a lot of technical stuff every day, making sure the mixes are right and the drums are moved safely. It can get very hot in the summer months, and the fans don't do much against the heat of the machinery. We take our lunch breaks in a small corner away from the main work area. It is a long commute for some of us to get out to the MIDC, but this is where the industry is. We have been part of this chemical zone for a long time and we know the rhythms of the trucks and the shifts. It is just regular industrial work.
