My Dream Stone

Our workshop is over in the GIDC area of Kansari, which is right here in Khambhat. If you know this part of Anand, you know it's a real hub for stone work of all kinds. We spend most of our days surrounded by different types of stones and the constant sound of polishing machines. It’s dusty work, if I’m being honest, and your hands get pretty rough after a few hours of handling the raw material. We deal with raw pieces and try to turn them into something smoother and more useful. We’ve been at plot 106 for quite some time now. Some days are spent just sorting through big crates of material to see what’s good and what we can’t use. It’s definitely not a shiny showroom like you see in the big cities. It’s a place where the actual work gets done. People come to us looking for specific types of stones for their own projects or for their shops. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who really know how to handle the equipment and the stones. Khambhat has a long history with this kind of work, and we’re just one of the many small units keeping that tradition going. The weather gets pretty warm out here in the industrial estate, especially in the summer months, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the task of getting the edges right and the finish how it should be.
