Dharmjaigarh Agro Producer Company Limited

Our place is in Village Sahapur, which falls under the Dharmjaigarh tehsil in Raigarh. It’s a quiet area, mostly farms and small houses. We set this up because the farmers in this part of Chhattisgarh needed a way to work together. Raigarh can be a tough place to farm sometimes, with the soil and the weather, but we’ve lived here all our lives, so we know the land. Our office in Sahapur is where we keep our records and meet up to talk about the crops. We don't have any fancy signs or big buildings. Most of the time, you’ll find us out back or traveling between the different farms in the village. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours, especially during the sowing and harvest seasons. We deal with all sorts of agricultural stuff, whatever the members are growing at the time. We try to help each other out with seeds or tools when someone is short. It isn't a high-tech operation; we use what we have and do our best. Sometimes we struggle with getting the transport sorted out to move the produce to the bigger towns, but we usually find a way. We aren't doing this to get rich; we're just trying to make the farming life a little more stable for everyone involved. It’s just us, the local folks from Sahapur and nearby, working together to keep the community going strong.
