Radisson Resort & Spa, Alibaug

Our resort is down in Alibaug, specifically in the Gondhalpada area of Raigarh. It is a bit of a drive from the city, but that is why people come out this way. We have a lot of ground to cover here with the guest rooms and the spa areas. It is a lot of work to keep the gardens looking decent because the coastal air and the salt can be hard on the plants. We have a big team of local staff who handle everything from the kitchen to the cleaning. It is not always a perfect holiday vibe behind the scenes; there is a lot of running around and fixing things that break. The monsoon season is especially busy for maintenance because the rain just does not stop. We see a lot of families coming down for the weekend to get away from Mumbai. We try to keep things running smoothly, but sometimes the power goes out or a guest is unhappy about something. We just deal with it as it comes. It is a large property, so there is always someone working somewhere. We are not trying to be anything we are not. It is just a place by the coast where people can relax for a couple of days. We keep it simple and focus on making sure the food is good and the rooms are tidy. It is a lot of effort to keep a big place like this going.
