Mkr Masala

Our business is out in Village Hanumanpada, at House No 537 in Ward 191. We are pretty close to the gas station here in Pen, Raigad. Most people who stop by are either locals from around the village or folks driving through who need to fill up their tanks. The workspace is very simple. We do most of the grinding and packing right here on the premises. It can get quite loud when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other over the noise. The floor usually has a fine layer of dust from the spices, but that is just how it goes in this kind of work. We started out small in this house and decided to stay because it works for what we do. The weather in Raigad can be a bit tricky for keeping everything dry, so we spend a lot of time checking the seals on the bags. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. It’s just a few of us making sure the orders are filled right. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in traffic or the roads are bad, but we make it work. If you come by at noon, you might see us sitting outside in the shade. We don't have much of a sign, just the house number. It’s hard work and it’s what we know. We don't do any advertising; people just find us by word of mouth.
