We run Mirage Forge out in Chakan, specifically at 8th Main, 8th Cross 343. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud and full of trucks. We spend our days around the furnace and the heavy hammers. It gets incredibly hot inside the workshop, especially during the summer months. You get used to the smell of hot metal and oil after a while. We aren't a big corporation, just a group of people who know how to shape steel. The address at 343 is basically a big open hall where the work gets done. We don't have a receptionist; you usually have to yell over the machinery to get someone's attention. Most of our work is for other local businesses that need specific parts made. The commute to Chakan can be a bit of a nightmare with the road construction, but we've been here long enough that it's just part of the routine. We keep the machines greased and the inventory stacked in the corner. Sometimes an order is late because a part broke down, and we stay late to fix it ourselves. There’s no glamour in forging, just heavy lifting and a lot of sweat. We take pride in the fact that the things we make don't break easily. It’s just us doing what we know how to do on 8th Cross. We don't put on any airs about being anything other than a forge.
