Sharda Handicrafts

Sharda Handicrafts is based out of Poynad in the Raigad district. It is a quiet place to work, far away from the rush of the big cities. We have our setup at the post office location, which makes it easier for us to handle our daily tasks without too much fuss. Working in Poynad means we are surrounded by people we have known for years. The air is a bit cleaner here, though the summers in Raigad can get incredibly hot and make the work go a bit slower than we would like. We spend our days putting together different handicraft items. It is mostly stuff we do with our hands, so there is no big machinery making a lot of noise. We do not have a big marketing team or a fancy website that someone else manages. It is just us in the workshop, surrounded by materials like cloth, wood, and thread. Sometimes the goats from the neighbor’s place wander near the door, and we have to shoo them away. It is a very regular, local way of living. We are not trying to become a massive company. We just enjoy making things and being part of the community here in Raigad. Our shop is a bit cluttered, but that is just because we are always in the middle of three or four different projects at once. We like the pace of life here and the fact that we can just focus on the crafts.
