Hindustan Masala Mill

Being located in the MIDC TTC Industrial Area means we are surrounded by a lot of other businesses and warehouses. Our place, Hindustan Masala Mill, is at Plot No D 222/13 in Nerul. If you come by, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the building. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s more about the work being done than how the place looks from the outside. We have our grinders and mixers going most of the day. It’s loud and it can get a bit messy with all the powders, but that is just the nature of milling. We aren't some big corporate factory with uniforms and fancy lobbies. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes making sure the machines are running right. Dealing with the logistics in Nerul can be a bit of a headache sometimes with the trucks coming and going, but we’ve figured it out over time. We focus on the grinding and the packing. It’s physical work and your clothes usually end up smelling like turmeric or chili by the time the shift is over. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing fancy paperwork. We just get the raw materials in and process them. It is a practical business for practical people. That is really all there is to it at our mill.
