We are located out in Ulwe, which is a bit of a trek for some people but we like it here. Cash Roots & Nuts Private Limited operates from a unit in Sector 23. It’s a newer area, so there’s always construction noise nearby. We’ve got a lot of space for our bags of nuts and roots. Most days are spent checking inventory and talking to vendors. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the products moving in and out. We aren't a corporate giant. It's just a group of us who know a thing or two about agriculture products. We started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. The office is in a residential building, so we have to be mindful of the neighbors when we're moving crates. Navigation in Navi Mumbai can be tricky if you aren't from around here. We spend a lot of time on WhatsApp coordinating deliveries. The sun hits our windows pretty hard in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. We have a small fan that we move around to keep cool. It's a simple life. We don't have a big website or a social media manager. We just sell what we have and try to be fair about it. Every day is different. One day we might be worried about rain affecting a shipment, and the next we're just organizing the shelves. It’s good, honest work that keeps us busy throughout the entire year.
