Areva Td Pvt. Ltd.

We are based out of the 220/66 Kv Substation in the Bawana area. Working at Areva Td Pvt. Ltd. means being around a lot of heavy electrical equipment and high-voltage lines every single day of the week. It is a bit of a trek for most people to get out here, but this is where the real infrastructure work happens. The site is quite large and looks very industrial, with plenty of gravel on the ground and metal fencing all around the perimeter. We are not sitting in a fancy downtown office with carpets and air conditioning. Instead, we spend our time monitoring the systems and making sure the equipment is behaving exactly like it should. It is often quite windy out here in Bawana, and the sun can be really unforgiving in the middle of the summer days. We wear our heavy safety gear and just get on with the tasks at hand. There is a lot of routine involved in our work, like checking the various meters and walking the fence line to inspect the towers. It is a serious environment because of the electricity involved, but we still find some time to chat and joke around in the break area. The guys here have been doing this for a long time, so they know every hum and click the machinery makes. It is not a glamorous job, and it is definitely out of the way, but it is important work that keeps things running.
