Vishweshwara Iti College

Vishweshwara Iti College is located in Jawahar Nagar, right here in Raichur. We spend most of our days in the workshops or in the small classrooms where we go over the practical stuff. It is usually quite dusty because of all the work going on, but that is just how an ITI works. The building is not very new, and you can see that in the walls, but it serves its purpose for the students who come here from around the district. Every morning, the students start arriving on their bikes or by walk, and the whole place gets busy with the sound of tools and people talking. We have the usual trade courses, and we just try to get through the syllabus so everyone can find some work later on. Raichur gets really hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans stay on all day, making a bit of a humming noise while the instructors explain the drawings on the blackboard. We don't have a big fancy campus or anything, just the main building and the areas where the machinery is kept. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or talk outside in the shade. It is a straightforward place. People come here to learn a skill, and we do our best to show them how things are done with the equipment we have on hand. It is a lot of hands-on work every single day.
