Balaji Granites

Balaji Granites is located on Jawahar Road in Koppal. If you know the area, you know it is a straightforward part of town without too much fuss. We have been operating from here for a good bit of time. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. We just have our slabs lined up so people can see the colors and the patterns in the stone. Koppal can get really hot during the summer months, and standing out on Jawahar Road all day can be a bit of a chore. We spend a lot of time just talking to the local builders and folks who are putting up houses nearby. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and making sure the edges of the granite aren't chipped. We handle everything ourselves, from the unloading to the final sale. There isn't a big team of people, just a few of us who know the stone well enough to say what's what. Sometimes the road gets blocked by trucks, and we have to wait a while to get things moved. It is a slow and steady kind of life here. We don't use any big computers or fancy systems. We just write things down in the ledger and keep track of who needs what. It is a simple way to run a granite business, and it works for us and the people around here in Koppal.
