Anchal Garments

You can find us right on Station Road Chowk in Amethi. It is a very busy part of town especially when the trains come in and everyone starts walking toward the market. Anchal Garments is right there in the middle of all that activity. We have clothes for different ages and mostly we just hang them up outside so people can see what we have while they walk past. It’s not a huge shop but we pack a lot of things into the space we have. The morning starts with us sweeping the front and getting the displays ready. Some days are slow when the sun is too hot and nobody wants to be out on the road. Then in the evening it picks up and the chowk gets really crowded with shoppers and rickshaws. We’ve known many of our customers for years and they just stop by to say hello even if they aren't buying anything that day. We try to keep a variety of shirts and trousers and whatever else people are looking for lately. The lights in the shop aren't the brightest but you can see the colors well enough. It’s a lot of work keeping everything folded and organized but we stay busy with it. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to rush to pull the racks inside quickly. It’s just a normal life here at the shop in Amethi. We open up early and don't leave until the last customer has gone home for their dinner.
