Real Magic

If you’re walking near the Purulia station on the main road, you’ll probably see our place. Real Magic has been here for a while now, right in the middle of all the noise from the trains and the traffic. It’s a busy spot, which is good for business but means there's always a lot of dust flying around from the road. We keep the doors open most of the day, so you can hear the station announcements if the wind is right. The shop is packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly where I put a certain item. It’s not one of those modern stores with everything perfectly labeled; it’s more of a local setup where we know where most things are tucked away. I spend a lot of time chatting with travelers who are waiting for their trains or locals who are just passing through on their way home. The floors need sweeping every few hours because of all the foot traffic. Some days are hectic with people coming in and out, while others are just steady. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is handled. It’s a practical way to earn a living, being right there where the town is most active. We just show up, open the shutters, and see what the day brings, and that's enough for us.
