Nabajagriti Foundation

We run the Nabajagriti Foundation out of a house on Ashu Sahis Lane. It’s near Deshbandhu Road in Purulia. Pratima Das looks after the place mostly. It's a busy little spot, especially in the afternoons when people from the neighborhood drop in to chat. We don't have a lot of staff, mostly just a few of us who care about what's happening around here. The building is an older one, so it has its quirks like the squeaky front gate and the way the walls need a bit of paint. We mostly do community work, trying to help out where we can. Sometimes we organize small events or just provide a space for meetings. It’s not always easy keeping everything running smoothly on a tight budget. We spend a lot of time talking to local families and figuring out what they need. It might be help with school stuff or just some general support. The office gets a bit noisy when everyone is talking at once, but we don't mind the noise. We've got a couple of desks and a lot of chairs for visitors. Purulia can get very hot in the summer, so we usually have the fans going full blast. It’s a simple setup. We do our best to stay organized with our records and files. Most people know where we are if they need to find us. It’s just us working together to keep things going day by day. It is what we do.
