Chowdhury Tubewell & Fittings

We have been running Chowdhury Tubewell & Fittings for quite a while now over here in Amlapara. People from all over the Dist area usually stop by when they have issues with their water supply or need a specific pipe that they can’t find in the smaller villages. Our shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a lot of iron and plastic fittings piled up on old wooden shelves. Most days, it’s just us moving heavy inventory around or helping a customer figure out which valve size they actually need for their pump. It gets pretty dusty in Amlapara, especially when the trucks come by to drop off new stock, so there is always a bit of cleaning to do. We don't have a big team of office people. It is mostly just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If you need a tubewell part, you just walk in and ask. Sometimes the fan in the back makes a loud clicking noise, but we just ignore it and keep working. My father started this place, and we just keep it going the same way he did. We don't spend money on ads or big signs. People just know we are here and that we have the stuff they need. It is a quiet kind of life, just selling fittings and making sure the orders are right before folks head back home to their farms or houses.
