Amitava Chakraborty

My name is Amitava Chakraborty, and I run things here right on the Kantipur-Bankura Main Road. We are very close to the Adra Rail Station, so there is always a lot of noise from the trains coming and going. It’s a busy spot because of the location. People are always rushing to catch a train or just coming back from work in the evening. I opened up this place because there’s a lot of foot traffic near the station. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the motorcycles and people walking past, but we manage. The building itself is nothing special, just a solid place to do business near Post Adra. I spend most of my day here watching the road. You get to see all sorts of people traveling between Bankura and other parts. It’s a good spot if you need to stop for a minute before heading home. My family helps out when things get extra busy. We don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s just a local operation. The weather can be pretty hot out on the main road, so we try to keep the inside as cool as we can. It’s been a few years now, and we’ve become a bit of a landmark for folks getting off the train. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. It is not always easy, but it keeps us going and pays the bills.
