S V Saria

We are S V Saria over in Gulab Bagh, right near the post office in Purnia. It’s been quite a few years since we started this place. If you come by our yard, you’ll see piles of saria and steel everywhere. It gets pretty dusty, especially when the trucks are coming in and out all day. My father used to handle the books, but now I’m the one sitting at the desk most of the time. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a simple room with some chairs and a fan that makes too much noise in the summer. People from the nearby villages come here when they are building their houses. They usually want to talk for a bit before actually buying anything. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside. Sometimes the stock is late because of the traffic on the highway, and we just have to wait around. That’s just how it is here. We keep track of everything in old-style registers. We’ve seen Purnia change a lot over the years, with new buildings popping up everywhere. Gulab Bagh is always busy, so there’s never a quiet moment around here. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the orders go out as they should. It’s not a complicated business, just a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of the numbers.
