Shanti Enterprises

Shanti Enterprises is located at Newalal Chowk in the Sivnagar area. Our post office is Lalganj and the police station is Maranga. Being at a chowk means we are right in the center of the action. There is always a lot of noise from the tea stalls and the rickshaws passing by. It’s a busy intersection where people meet up and talk. Our shop is a simple one, with a sign that’s seen better days. We spend the whole day at the counter or moving stock in the back. It’s often very dusty because of all the traffic on the road right outside. We get a lot of people just dropping in to ask questions or see what we have. Sivnagar is a lively place to be, and there is never a dull moment. Sometimes the heat is quite bad, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We don’t have any corporate rules or fancy uniforms here. We just wear our regular clothes and do the work that needs to be done. The evenings are the busiest time when everyone is heading home and stops by the chowk for their errands. We stay open until it gets dark and the street lights come on. It’s a simple life being a part of the local market here. We know the other shop owners around the chowk, and we all look out for each other. That is just how we do things in Lalganj.
