Kgn Genral Store

People around Kumaripur know where we are because we are right near the old temple. It is a quiet village for the most part but the store stays busy enough with people coming in for their daily things. Kgn Genral Store is just a small place, really. We open up early when the sun is just coming up and usually stay until it gets dark. My family has been around this part of Katihar for a long time so everyone knows us by name. We keep things like soap, oil, snacks, and some basic grains. Sometimes the shelves get a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep it clean. It is not a fancy supermarket like you see in the big cities. It’s just a room with counters and some sacks on the floor. In the evenings, some of the older men sit outside for a bit and talk about the weather or the crops. We don’t have any big delivery trucks or anything, just what we can manage. Life here in Manihari moves slow but the shop keeps us on our feet. If someone forgot to buy salt for dinner, they run over here. It’s been this way for a few years now. The village has changed a bit but the old temple is still there and we are still here right next to it. Just a basic shop for basic needs.
