You can find us over at Vikash Market on Dakbangla Road. If you’re looking for us, we’re right in front of that TVS showroom, which makes it easy for people to explain where they’re going. We’re near Rahika Tola in the Phed Colony, not too far from Chandani Chowk. The shop is usually full of half-taken-apart machines and tangled wires. We spend most of our time hunched over keyboards or looking at motherboards under a bright lamp. It’s not the cleanest job, as there’s always a bit of solder smoke or dust from an old fan we’re cleaning out. The road outside is always noisy with bikes and people, but inside we just focus on the hardware. We don’t really do big speeches about technology; we just fix what’s broken and sell what people need. Sometimes someone comes in with a laptop that’s been dropped, and other times it’s just someone needing a new mouse. We’ve got shelves full of parts that we’ve collected over time. It’s a local shop for people who live around here and need their gear working again. We drink a lot of chai from the guy down the street and keep the doors open to catch a bit of a breeze. It’s just a regular computer place in a busy market, doing what we can with the tools we have, trying to get every machine back to its owner.
