Leafyca Agritech Private Limited

Leafyca Agritech Private Limited is a bit different because we are located right in Puri, near the sea. Our office is actually in the Krishna Sea-Sight Apartments, specifically B6/3B in Sipasarubali. Being so close to the coast is nice, but our focus is really on the farming technology side of things. We aren't out in the fields every single day like some other groups, but we spend our time thinking about how to make farming in Orissa better using new ideas. It’s a small operation. We don't have a hundred employees or a giant warehouse. It’s just a few of us working from the apartment. We try to figure out ways to help farmers get better yields or manage their water better. Puri is a busy place, but Sipasarubali is a bit quieter, which helps us get our work done. We started this because we saw how much technology was changing other parts of life and thought farming should get some of that too. It’s not always perfect and sometimes the ideas we have don't work out as planned. But we keep trying. We aren't some big tech giant from a city like Bangalore. We are just local people in Puri who want to see our farmers do well. It is a slow process and we are just taking it one day at a time, trying to be useful to the people who grow our food in this region.
