Jai Hanuman Traders

We are right on the Puri Bhubaneshwar Highway in a place called Sakhi Gopal. It’s a very busy road with a lot of people traveling between the two cities. Being near the Akshi Gopal Temple means there is always a crowd, especially during festivals or special days. Jai Hanuman Traders is just a regular shop along the highway. We hear the trucks and buses zooming past all day long. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic, so we are constantly cleaning the front area. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just open up early and see who comes by. It’s a lot of trading and talking to drivers or locals. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s quiet and just watch the traffic. The building is simple, nothing fancy to look at. We’ve got our stock piled up and we keep track of things in a notebook. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The heat on the highway can be brutal in May, so we have a small fan that barely does anything. It’s just the reality of working here. We are just local people running a local trade business near the temple. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just want to get through the day's work and head home when it gets dark. Most folks know us by sight now.
