We’ve been over here in Puri for quite a while now, right near the Sea Beach area in Goudabada Sahi. It is a busy part of town but we really like the energy of the place. Being Bari Habitats means we spend a whole lot of our time thinking about where people live and the actual spaces they take up every day. Living right by the water has its own set of challenges, like the constant humidity and the salt in the air, but that is just part of being in this specific part of Odisha. Most days you will find us just managing things from the office or out checking on how things are going with the local projects. We aren’t big on fancy speeches or writing long documents. It is mostly about showing up every single morning and getting the actual work done. The 752001 zip code is home for us. Sometimes the tourists get a bit thick near the beach, especially during the big festival seasons, but we have learned how to navigate the traffic. Our spot in Puri Town is pretty central for what we do. We try to keep everything straightforward. If you walk down towards the beach police station area, you are basically right in our neighborhood. It’s a local operation, run by real people who actually live here and know the streets. We don't have a giant corporate board or anything like that, just a small team trying to handle the habitat side of things. It gets loud with the ocean sometimes but it's a good place to be.
