The office is tucked away in Hillpatna, right by the Village Post Office. It’s a quiet part of Brahmapur Sadar here in Ganjam. We’ve been here for several years now, mostly just handling the daily grind of building projects and site visits. You can usually find one of us sitting at the big wooden desk near the entrance. The postman is our most regular visitor since he’s just next door. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. People just know where we are. Dealing with construction in this district means a lot of travel to different villages, so the office is often empty in the afternoons while we’re out on-site. When we are back, we’re usually catching up on all the government forms and ledger entries. It’s a simple operation. The air is a bit dustier here because of the road work nearby, but it’s home for us. We drink a lot of coffee while going through the blueprints. Sometimes the local kids play outside the gates after school. We try to keep things moving along even when the rains make the roads difficult to navigate. It’s just how things go in this part of Odisha. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to send emails to the head office or check the latest regulations for the tehsil. Most of our work is done face-to-face with the workers and suppliers who stop by.
