Ssk Engineering

Ssk Engineering is out in Village Ramchandrapur. It’s in the Sutahata post area within East Medinipur. Being in a village means things are a bit different than the big city offices. Our workshop is surrounded by a lot of green space and it’s generally quieter, except when we have the machines running. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work here. The shop is a large open building with a tin roof. When it rains, it gets so loud inside that you can’t hear yourself think. We have a small group of guys from the local area who work here. We mostly wear overalls and boots because the floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil. It’s not a polished environment at all. We have a small corner with a table where we look at blueprints and have our lunch. Sometimes the power is a bit unreliable, so we have to plan our heavy work for when the grid is steady. People from around East Medinipur know us, and we get most of our work from local factories and farms. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience. We don't have a receptionist; if you come by, you’ll probably find us with a wrench or a welding torch in hand. We just take it day by day and get the orders out as they come.
