A.R Engineers

Down in Midnapur, specifically over in Dhandihi, Contai, we run A.R Engineers. We are based out of Pravas Bera’s place. It’s a local setup, nothing like those big firms you see in Kolkata. We handle a lot of the engineering work that comes our way in this part of the district. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but we make it out to the sites whenever we need to. It is mostly about being on the ground and seeing how things are being built. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our maps, tools, and some old ledgers that have seen better days. Pravas Bera has been here for years, so everyone knows the house. We don't spend much on advertising or making things look pretty. We just do the work. Most of our days are spent checking measurements or talking to laborers about the next steps. It can get dusty and loud depending on what project is going on nearby. We have a small team, and we all know each other well. Sometimes we sit outside and discuss the day's plans before the sun gets too high and the heat becomes a problem. Living and working in Contai has its own pace. You learn to deal with the local weather and the way things move a bit slower here. It is honest work, and we are just glad to be part of the community in Midnapur. We try to be useful.
