Suhana Foods

Suhana Foods is tucked away on Hattan Road in Burdwan. We are right near the Jack & Jill School, so things get very loud and busy twice a day when the kids are coming and going. You can hear the bells and the rickshaws all the way inside. We sell a lot of food items, mostly packaged stuff and things for snacks. The shelves are always a bit of a mess because we are constantly moving things around to make room for new arrivals. It is just a few of us working here. We do not wear uniforms or anything like that. Just regular clothes. Sometimes the heat in Burdwan is too much, so we keep the cooler running near the front. The floor is concrete and we sweep it twice a day, but the dust always finds a way back in. We get a lot of parents stopping by after they pick up their children. They usually want something quick. We have gotten to know the teachers too. It is a decent place to work. We are not looking to expand or become a chain. We just like having our own little corner on Hattan Road. We check the dates on the packets every Friday to make sure everything is fresh. If something is sitting too long, we just stop ordering it. It is a practical way to run things. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
