Kfc, Delhi

Our place is located over at ABL Township in Durgapur. The address is a bit of a mouthful, specifically C/O A.K Sengupta at Qr.No- Lvm-30. Even though the name says Delhi, we are right here in the township area. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most days. We handle the food side of things, mostly chicken like you’d expect. The kitchen gets hot and we stay on our feet for most of the shift. Durgapur has its own rhythm and being in the 713206 pin code area means we see a lot of the same faces from around the township. It isn't a huge operation, just a regular setup where we cook and serve. Sometimes the supply truck is late or we run out of something, but that's just how it goes. People come in when they're hungry and we do what we can. It’s not like those big fancy restaurants you see in movies. It’s more basic than that. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the counters are wiped down. The township life is okay, fairly predictable. We’ve been here at Lvm-30 for a bit now. There's usually a smell of frying oil in the air which you get used to after five minutes. Just a bunch of us working and trying to keep things moving along for the hungry folks who stop by. We just try to keep the lights on and the food ready.
